Introduction :
The Stonehenge is located in the English county of Wiltshire in South West England region of England. Stonehenge is one of the most important pre historic monuments of the country built in the middle of the dense complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in UK. The Stonehenge is a circular ring of stones standing within earthworks. The biggest of its stones, known as sarsens measure up to 9 metres in height and weighs over 25 tons on average. Until today, the reason for the construction of the Stonehenge remains a mystery with most suggestions of it being used as an ancient astronomy calender or a site of religious worship. Scientists and archaelogists believes that the Stonehenge was built as a monument for the dead but everything remains a mystery till today.
